Winter Showed Up

Winter worked so hard the first week of January, it decided to take a little time off last week but it showed up for the long Martin Luther King Weekend!  Yep - 1 inch of new snow overnight and it looks like a snowglobe on the hill this morning.  Plus, snowmaking has returned so be sure to check the Mountain Report for updated information.  There was an enthusiastic crowd for First Tracks this morning and freshies on Squirrel was top notch - check out the shots below or view our Mtn Cam for a live shot.  Have a wonderful time on the slopes today - ski and ride safely.

New Terrain Parks

Our creative Park Crew has been brewing some good freestyle designs and will debut their hard work with two new parks this weekend!  View the Mountain Report for current terrain park status.

  • Lower Boulder Park comes online as our small park designed for beginner to intermediate freestyle skiers and riders.  Boulder Park will offer 4 features this weekend:  2 Jumps, Rainbow Box, Up-Flat Box
  • Beaver Park will debut as our medium park ideal for intermediate to advanced freestylers.  Beaver will offer 6 features this weekend:  2 Down Rails, Hip with Flat Tube, Jump, Barrel Tap
  • Central Park (because it's centrally located at the base of the mountain) is our large park that accommodates intermediate to advanced skiers and riders.  It currently houses 10 features:  Small and Large Propane Tanks, Down Rail, 4 Flat Tubes, 2 Jumps, Hip

As always, we encourage safe skiing and riding including in freestyle area.  And if you are new to freestyle terrain, check out the SmartStyle pointers here.
