Mountain Biking

Mountain biking is taking on a whole new attitude and altitude at Wisp Outdoors. It’s called freeriding and it’s making headlines all over the country. Our new Freeride Park will take you to higher ground with natural rocky terrain and wood ramps and bridges built throughout the wooded mountains at Wisp Resort. Freeride bike rentals, instruction and tours available.

Intro to Freeride & Downhill Clinic:
Downhill/Freeride Intro Clinic - $99
Includes DH/FR Bike, Riding Equipment, Trail Pass

· Body position over the bike will be the primary focus
   for improving comfort and safety riding down hill
· Cornering
- How to position your body and weight over the bike
  for optimal grip and control.
- How to turn your body and the bike together.
· Braking
- Body position to get maximal braking power and control.  
  Especially as it relates to riding down hill.
- Knowing when to break and when not to break
- Maneuvering bike.
- Learning how to move so the bike will do what we
   want it to do.
- Going over drops
- Rolling and/or jumping
- After learning the other skills mentioned above it’s time to
  concur a drop if the customer is so inclined.  The drops
  used are drops that can be rolled or jumped with the  least
  amount of risk for the most fun.
- All of the skills learned will be incorporated.
- Guided to appropriate terrain
- The most important thing about the clinic is taking the
  customer to the most exciting terrain they can be on based
  on their ability and attitude.
