It has been a beautiful few days in the mountains and more to come. With temperatures dropping throughout the day, it is looking like we will get down into the teens overnight. Snow flurries continue to fall and are expected to accumulate up to 2 inches this evening for a fresh powder dusting. It looks like the snow will cease temporarily from about 3pm-9pm this evening, leaving a prime window for night skiing. If you plan to come over later in the day, night skiing will be available on the front side of the mountain until 9pm this evening.
We want to give a special thanks to our Wisp Resort Ski Patrol team who not only have done a remarkable job with guest incidences this year, but have also been a huge help in mountain cleanup after big winter storms. Our Ski Patrol won a variety of awards in November including: Larry Pease's induction to the National Ski Patrol "Hall of Fame" and Stephen Cabe's "National Appointment Award" #12062. In addition, there were a variety of Service Awards granted as follows:
55 Years – Paul Harman
50 Years – Joseph Closic and William Freyman (Lifetime Service Awards)
45 Years – Thomas Johnson
30 Years – William Roszell and Michael Logsdon
25 Years – Stephen Cabe, Will Roszell, Joanna Renner, and Avrama Blackwell
15 Years – Vicki Walker, Jeff Nunes, and James Ferrant
10 Years – Melody Chen, Marvin Glass, Katie Hester, William Hester, Travis Pickett, and Brian Smith
A special thanks to Wisp Resort's Ski Patrol Team. We appreciate your service!
