Natural Cover, Powder Pockets, Fresh Lines
We’re kicking off 2026 off buried in powder with bluebird skies and snow guns whirling all across the mountain. Layer up and find a new line – and trust us, there’s plenty out there today. With over 8+ inches of new snow in the last 24 hours, terrain is expanding, including the additions of Randall’s Run, Devil’s Drop, and Bobcat Bowl all with thin, natural cover. If you’re looking to chase the powder today, these are the perfect slopes to hit. Also looking extra snowy, Squirrel Cage, Boulder, and Little Dipper – but truly, any slope you hit you can’t go wrong.
Be ready for stellar conditions with natural cover, powder pockets, and man-made snow. Grab some goggles and a neck gator for extra protection against the chill and the snow.

Wisp Platinum Anniversary Weekend – Friday, January 9 – Sunday, January 11
We’re almost another year older on Maryland’s Mountaintop, and we’d like to think we’ve aged pretty well. Wisp Resort opened in 1955 on an old cow pasture to offer skiing on Marsh Mountain. The first season featured a one-room hut warmed by a pot-bellied stove, one ski trail, The Face, serviced by a truck engine-powered tow rope, and ski rentals out of a pickup truck bed. Let’s face it, we’ve been here a while, and we couldn’t have made it to our Platinum Anniversary without the support from you and yours. Dive into the festivities and get ready for a weekend of Platinum Deals including:
Friday, January 9th – Day Lift Tickets: $19.55
Saturday, January 10th – Night Lift Tickets: $19.55
Sunday, January 11th – Learn To Ski/Ride Package: $70
And yes – you can, and should, purchase online in advance to secure your spot on the mountain for this milestone celebration!
Commemorating 70 years of Maryland’s Mountaintop Playground wouldn’t be complete without Platinum Deals on your favorite winter activities all winter long.
