Thanks for Another Great Opening Day!

We’re Keeping Things Snowy

Opening weekend was everything we hoped it would be and then some, thanks to the polar vortex, our team, and most importantly, YOU! We have been cranking out the snow all weekend long. That, along with Mother Nature’s fresh flakes joining in, has turned the mountain into a true winter wonderland. With opening day in the rearview, we are moving full steam ahead with plans to have all chairlifts spinning as soon as possible!

What’s to Come

Our new additions to the mountain have put in a ton of work, aiding in the opening of 11 slopes + trails in time for opening day for the first time in years! The additional snow guns have allowed us to move our portables to more slopes to open this week.

Additionally, snowmaking will happen on all three sides of the mountain – front, North Camp, East Ridge – using guns that are favorable to wind direction.  The snowmaking system, including all guns, pumps, and water are producing just as they should – 100% good.

If you get a chance, thank a snowmaker, a groomer, a ski patrol, a mountain host, and anyone in our mountain family for doing what they do so you can ski the trails you love safely and earlier in the season. Stay tuned and check out the mountain report and webcams to keep up to date with our efforts. Let’s keep the good times rolling from lift laughs to first tracks – the best is yet to come.

For all of our East Ridge enthusiasts, the forecasted cold will allow Main Street water sticks to run  when temperatures are 19 degrees or colder. With the winds on our side, the guns could potentially be running later this week. Keep thinking cold thoughts and in the meantime, ski the open terrain with excellent conditions on the front side and north camp!
