Bundle Up for Conditions Worth Celebrating
We woke up this morning to some below-freezing temps, which for some might seem a bit too cold for comfort, but for you and me is the type of weather to be celebrated. For our winter enthusiasts here in Garrett County, it’s the just right temp for some serious shredding, and for all of us at Wisp, the chance to keep the guns firing (yes, even our cold bearing friends, the water sticks, on Mainstreet).
This cold spell has us pressing snooze and asking for just five more minutes under the covers, but that’s why we have extra layers. What gets us out of bed before the alarm even goes off is the race for first tracks on groomers like Squirrel Cage and thoughts of trace amounts of snow covering our favorite trails like Odin’s Chute and Ace’s Run (which haven’t had an off day in quite a while). From corduroy to packed powder, the conditions have been wonderful with blue skies to match.
So while the cold hangs around, remember that a winter like this is worth dressing warm for, and with lots of snow in the forecast in the days to come, you don’t want to miss what’s next. So get out of bed, bundle up, get it while the getting is good, and save up to $10 when you buy online in advance – including everything from lift tickets to tubing and lessons.
