The crunch of snow under your boots, crisp turns, and cold mountain air awaits you at Maryland’s mountaintop.

The mountain is fully bundled up with 21+ inches of fresh powder from the latest storm and it’s not going away anytime soon. Mid-season stretches of cold temps, new snowfall, snowmaking, and fresh grooming giving us the kind of winter conditions we live for.

Staying Warm on the Mountain 

Just like the mountain during this cold snap, it’s time to layer up and stay warm while making the most of these incredible conditions. Follow these tips to stay comfortable and keep the stoke high:

• Layer up – Moisture-wicking base, insulating mid-layer, and a warm outer shell
• Cover exposed skin – Face masks, goggles, neck gaiters, scarves, helmets, and gloves are key
• Take warm-up breaks – Fuel up with hot food and drinks at McHenry Lodge or the Sundown Yurt
• Add extra heat – Hand and toe warmers help keep yourself extra toasty
