Hole #8 PAR 3:
Lodestone’s Hole 8 is a friendly Par 3 featuring stunning views of Deep
Creek Lake and surrounding mountains. The front tees play at 135 yards
while stretching to a maximum yardage of 226 from the back tees. Several
large sand traps stand guard on the sides and back of the enormous green
that is forgiving enough. Great hole for a classic foursome photo to capture
the essence of this spectacular mountain course
Pro Tip: Taking elevation and wind into consideration, best to club down especially if the wind id blowing from behind.
Hole #13 PAR 5:
Hole 13 at Lodestone is a downhill Par 5 that opens to breathtaking views
of Creek Lake below with panoramic mountain scenery. Golfers should
bring their best game to navigate the front tees from 431 yards and a
mammoth 612 yards from the back tee box. Strategically placed bunkers
starting midway down the fairway are awaiting drives, fairway shots, and
layups. Once one the green, concentration is key as deceiving undulations
can catch even the best putters off guard.
Pro Tip: Best to layup when in the fairway, bunkers around the green tend
to add strokes to this Par 5.
Hole #17 PAR 3:
Lodestone’s 17th Hole is a one-of-a-kind Par 3 that requires tee shots over
a large ravine showcasing large rock outcroppings. Front tees play at 135
yards and stretch up to 214 yards from the back tee box. With tree lined
tees, a visually distracting gulch, and little leeway around the sloped green,
golfers will need to go for the pin or layup to the right on the only fairway
available.
Pro Tip: The downhill sloped green can be tricky.
