RIBS & JIBS DATE CHANGE / RESCHEDULED FOR SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18th

Due to unforeseen conditions, we will be rescheduling the Ribs & Jibs Slope Style Competition to Saturday, February 18th. Unfortunately, unseasonable weather has not allowed us to create the snow features required to hold a safe and fun Slope Style Event this weekend. The weather pattern starting tomorrow night and continuing into the future is what the doctor ordered for great snowmaking.

The details for that day will remain the same as the event originally planned for this Saturday with check in starting at 9:00am at the Crawford Room. We will be sending an email confirming details of the event, as we get closer to February 18th.

We understand this may create a conflict for some and we are happy to issue refunds as needed. Please reach out in response to this email for refunds.

We have extended the $25 entry fee through Wednesday. The event is Saturday the 18th. We have great enrollment and are looking forward to the event.

Wintergreen Resort presents it’s second annual Winter Freestyle Festival Ski and Board Event. This year’s event will be bigger and better! This year we have reserved indoor space for registration and awards. Plus we have sponsors supplying great prizes and raffle giveaways!

All Participants will receive a T-Shirt at registration, Special Event Gift at Awards Ceremony, and Raffle Entries!

PRIZES & RAFFLE from Smith Optics, Burton, Oakley, Helly Hansen, Quiksilver, Blackstrap, and Dakine!

Participants will compete in age brackets for medals, prizes, and bragging rights with (1st-3rd) Medals.

Age Brackets – (By Gender & Discipline) -8 and Under / 9-11 / 12-14 / 15-17 / 18+

**LIFT TICKETS ARE REQUIRED – YOU MAY PURCHASE AT A DISCOUNTED RATE OF $45 WITH YOUR ENTRY RECEIPT.

9:00am Event Check-In at Crawford Room– See the map below for the Registration location at the Crawford Room. Parents are required for Check-In of any participants under 18 years of age. Check-In is required by 11:00am. T-Shirts will be provided to participants at event check-in.

12:00 Noon Slope Style Event Specifics – The Slope Style Event starts promptly at 12:00pm with a Mandatory Safety Meeting. The Event will begin immediately following the Safety Meeting with the youngest age brackets going first. Each group will have a total of 3 runs with the best of the 3 runs counting. Each run will cycle through all age groups before the next run. (ie. Once the 8 & Under group has their first run, they will wait until all other age groups have a first run before they move to their second.) Scores & Medals will be handed out at the Awards Event immediately following the Event.

Awards Event Specifics – The Awards Event immediately follows the Slope Style Event at the Wintergreen Terrace. (If weather is not suitable, we have the Crawford Room secured as back-up.) We will have some snacks and drinks for competitors. The event will include music, prizes, raffle giveaways and medal ceremony.
