What's Happening This Summer

Wisp Resort has had the privilege of operating Garrett County’s Adventure Sports Center International (ASCI) whitewater course for the past decade, following the 2014 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships. During this time, it has been an honor to help steward and activate a truly world-class facility for guests, boaters, and the broader outdoor community. Wisp Resort will not operate the mountaintop whitewater course for summer 2026.

Wisp remains deeply appreciative of the partnerships, team members, and guests who contributed to the success of the whitewater program over the past ten years. Questions regarding the whitewater course should be directed to Garrett County, which owns the asset.

At the same time, Wisp is pleased to announce it has been awarded a new five-year agreement to operate the Deep Creek Lake State Park boating concession. This includes kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, pontoon boat tours, and the beach concession at the State Park. This opportunity allows the resort to continue its four-season recreation offerings and deepen its connection to the Deep Creek Lake community through accessible, water-based experiences.
