This event welcomes all levels, from first-time trail walkers to seasoned hikers and ruckers. Go unweighted or add 10, 20, or 35 pounds to your challenge for bonus swag and bragging rights. The well-marked course moves through shaded single-track, punchy climbs, and open ski-trail stretches — with sweeping views over Deep Creek Lake and the surrounding mountains rewarding every ascent. You’ll get true Wisp Resort spring terrain at its best.

During the Race 

Where you’ll start: You’ll begin on quiet wooded trail near the base of Wisp, easing into shaded forest as the route starts to climb.

What you’ll see: You’ll wind through dense hardwoods, rolling ridgelines, and open ski-trail stretches, with sweeping views of Deep Creek Lake and the surrounding Allegheny Mountains emerging as you gain elevation.

Where you’ll finish: You’ll finish back at the base after a smooth descent down broad mountain corridors, stepping out of the woods right at the trailhead.

Post Race Celebration

After you cross the finish, stay and soak in the Wisp Resort vibe. The post-trek celebration at base camp brings together participants with food, refreshments, and good energy. It’s the perfect finish line to swap stories and toast your trek with friends and fellow adventurers.
